Nurshable has had over a half million views since we moved to a new server in May 2012. We get roughly 20,000-30,000 views per month with peaks of over 90,000 viewers in a month.

The readers of Nurshable are gentle parents interested in topics such as breastfeeding, babywearing, co-sleeping, infant and toddler sleep, gentle discipline and positive parenting.

Nurshable itself is a personal blog promoting gentle and joyful parenting. It has developed into a community of support for a diverse group of parents that are raising their children with gentleness and joy.

Nurshable, because of peak loads of over 1000 viewers per minute, requires a server with enough resources to keep running under heavy loads. This makes it hard to justify as a simple hobby. Sponsorship helps keep this site up and running. ❤

** We do not accept advertisements for infant formula companies and reserve the right to refuse any advertisements that we feel are inappropriate. We support parents no matter what their babies eat, but we believe infant formula advertising is frequently misleading.

I know I am only one of the many readers that you have, but I wanted to tell you how helpful your blog has been to me the last couple of days. I found your blog a couple days ago because a friend of mine posted one of your letters to your daughter on facebook. I am a new mom to a wonderfully frustrating (at times) little boy. He spent the first 6 weeks of his life crying (or so it felt). He is now 2 months old and we are working through all the joys and sorrows of breastfeeding our selves. I had to travel on a plane last week and while sitting in the middle seat I was very proud of myself that I was able to get him latched on under a cover but I definitely felt the pressure to pump a bottle and give it to him. Not only because of the eyes giving me looks but also because I could feel him sweating under the cover and I felt bad for him. I can also say for a fact that if I didn’t have the support of my husband and family we would have quit in the first two weeks. Not because of the pain but because we didn’t know what we were doing . Now that my family is gone and my husband is getting ready to leave for three months (army training) I knew I needed to find online support and encouragement. So I wanted to tell you that’s what you are. Thanks.

      Michelle,

You may be “one of many”, but you are the reason that I share my writings here. I was you just 5 years ago with my first son, struggling to make it work and having a hard time of it. I’m glad that you have sought out support and that I can be a part of that support for you.

I’m going to be sending you an email so that you have my email address as well in case you need someone to reach out to. 🙂

I’m happy to know that I’m not alone. It feels so good when I read something that tells me exectly what I am going through.
Hopefully it will work with my 22 months old girl, she is very bossy and tells me when and where she wants her ” booboone” and finishes with ” I want it now”
I’m so tired and I feel horrible.
    Just really want it over.
